Development Of Cationic Dyes

Cationic dyes are produced with the development of petrochemicals, and in the 50s of the 20th century, with the emergence of acrylonitrile fibers, Geigy in Switzerland and Bayer in Germany have successively developed cationic dyes for acrylonitrile fibers. In the early 60s, China also researched and developed the first generation of a variety of cationic dyes. In the 70s, the second generation of X-type cationic dyes was developed, which expanded the chromatographic range, improved dyeing performance, and considered the compatibility between ternary colors. In the 70s, the third generation of M-type cationic dyes was trial-produced, called migration cationic dyes, which can be applied to various acrylonitrile fiber dyeing.
The world's developed countries that produce dyes, the total output of cationic dyes and basic dyes accounts for less than 10% of the total output of dyes. In the mid-90s of last century, statistics showed that China's cationic dye production was more than 2,000 tons / year, accounting for only more than 1% of the total output of dyes, and some of them were exported. Among the cationic dyes, X-type three primary colors, cationic rosé FG and bright red 5GN were the varieties with large yields.
In recent years, China and abroad have been committed to the research and development of excellent dyeing performance, specificity, new structural varieties, as well as the improvement of old product technology, energy saving and consumption reduction, three wastes treatment and other fields.
