3. TBzTD
This item was developed to replace Thiuram promoters such as TMTD, mainly because Thiuram promoters tend to produce nitrosamines, while TBzTD was developed as a safe secondary amine promoter, and N-nitrosodibenzylamine is not carcinogenic according to published literature.It was developed to replace TMTD, TMTM, TETD and other Thiuram products, because TBzTD molecular weight, high melting point, not easy to decompose. Although in vulcanization will produce a small amount of dibenzyl nitrosamines, because of its large molecular weight, It is a non-carcinogenic substance that is neither volatile nor soluble in water, and because TBzTD products are non-polar, they do not produce spray for rubber vulcanization.
Characteristic action
◆TBzTD is an acidic super-speed vulcanization accelerator, the vulcanization speed is lower than TMTD, and other physical properties are almost the same as TMTD, and it has become a new product of Thiuram type vulcanization accelerator with development potential.
◆ For NR, SBR, EPDM, NBR system can be used as a rapid primary accelerator or secondary accelerator, and is a valuable co-accelerator in EPDM.
◆Safer than TMTD use process and longer anti-coke time. No spray phenomenon, no pollution, no discoloration.
◆Used with DETU in CR vulcanization process, can be used as vulcanization delay agent. In thiol-modified chloroprene vulcanized with ETU, TBzTD is used as an anti-coke agent, which does not affect the vulcanization rate.
◆Good processing safety, longer burning time than TMTD, can be used as natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber rapid vulcanization main accelerator or accelerator, sometimes also used in PVC rubber vulcanization inhibitors.
